How to check for dead pixels
- Gently clean the display and reduce glare.
- Select Start full-screen test.
- Click, tap, or press Space to move through each color.
- Inspect the entire panel from a normal viewing distance, then look more closely at suspicious spots.
Dead pixel or stuck pixel?
A dead pixel usually stays black because it produces no light. A stuck pixel may remain red, green, blue, or bright on several backgrounds. Dust and screen damage can look similar, so clean the display first.
Can this test repair pixels?
No. It only helps you inspect the panel. Avoid pressing hard on the screen; that can cause permanent damage. Check the manufacturer’s warranty guidance if you find a defect.
