How to test your microphone
- Select Start microphone test.
- Allow microphone access when prompted.
- Speak at your normal volume and watch for moving blue bars.
- Try again while changing your system input device or input level.
No movement in the meter?
Check that the correct microphone is selected in system settings, raise its input volume, and make sure its physical mute switch is off. Close other apps that may have exclusive control of the mic.
Why can’t I hear my voice?
This test measures input only and deliberately does not play your voice back, which avoids feedback and echoes.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. The site requests a temporary browser stream solely to calculate the visual level.
